Pasero means “sparrow” in Esperanto. Its Chinese name, 雀角, comes from The Book of Songs—and sounds like 缺觉, sleep-deprived
I’m Hong Yang—born and raised in Zunyi, Guizhou, and chronically short on sleep. I’m currently doing my best to overcome sleep deprivation and finish my PhD
I built Pasero to reduce the time we spend switching between apps—and save a little more time for sleep. After all, we Guizhou people come from green mountains and clear waters. Beautiful places raise beautiful people, and beautiful people need their sleep

研究では、Excel、Word、GraphPad Prism、そしてさまざまな分子生物学ソフトを使います。よく使う機能はほんの一部なのに、ソフト一式の料金を払い、アプリの間を何度も行き来しなければなりません。
そこでつくったのが Pasero（雀角）です。本当に使うツールを、ひとつの軽やかなワークスペースにまとめました。
Pasero はエスペラント語で「スズメ」。「雀角」は『詩経』の「召南・行露」にある「誰がスズメに角がないと言うのか。どうして私の屋根に穴を開けるのか」という一節に由来します。中国語では「缺觉」（寝不足）にも似た響き。研究者にはおなじみの状態です。
どうも、楊紅（Hong Yang）です。いつも寝不足です。
中国・貴州省遵義市で生まれ育ちました。今は寝不足と戦いながら、博士号の取得を目指しています。
Pasero をつくったのは、アプリを切り替える回数を減らし、そのぶん眠る時間を増やしたかったから。私たち貴州人は「美しい山と水が、美しい人を育てる」と言いますから。
